Needing some advice w/ charged off accounts

I have taken so many bad advice and didn't even realize there is such a website as this. and I am so thankful that I at least found this web now...

I was getting late on lots of my cc payments and my buddies told me to let it sit till it goes to collection and settle w/ half or less so I did.

On my credit report now, I have 7 charged off accounts that I still owe money to who (collection agencies) call me daily. 7 lates and delinquency too....

The debts aren't too big either... Maybe 10,000 all together...

What do you think is the best step for me?

Would it even be possible for me to qualify for a mortgage within 6 to 12 months?

Financially I can probably pay all off in full within next 3 months or so but I want to see what the best way would be for my credit to go up as fast as it could...

Any advice could be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi So Lost,

It is not at all advisable ti miss your payments on credit accounts. Your credit is hurt with missed payments and the creditors add late payments onto the outstanding debt amount.

On my credit report now, I have 7 charged off accounts that I still owe money to who (collection agencies) call me daily. 7 lates and delinquency too.

Can you tell me how old these accounts are? Check if the Statute of Limitations (SOL) on these charged-off accounts have expired or not. These charge-offs and other negatives will remain on your credit report for 7 years. So, also check whether or not these 7 years have passed. If it has, you can dispute these items off your credo report.

Would it even be possible for me to qualify for a mortgage within 6 to 12 months?

Only if the negatives are removed from your credit report and if you have a good credit score, you may qualify for a mortgage.

Let us know the date of the charge-offs, last payment dates, and the dates the negatives were entered on your credit report.

Thanks,

Aaron

This is true, I think that it would help to maintain the atability of the accounts.
