why is WFNNB debting my checking account.

Subject: why is WFNNB debting my checking account.

I have had two debts from my checking account from this company. At first I thought it was from two separate haiti relief donations I may because they were the same amount. Then again a month later money came out again, so this alerted me. How do I contact this company to get money back. Do I try one of the numbers others have been mentioning.

Hi wedale, Wfnnb is the name for several different credit cards. Usually the are smalll dept. or clothing stores. I would look on the back of one of your cards and call the number there. also if you know which stores you have the accounts with try going to the store front itself and asking one of the clerks to help get this straightened out for you. If possible have them bring the manager up front and speak with that person. I use to work for Fashion Bug, Wfnnb holds there credit accounts and as an employee we always had direct telephone numbers to go directly to the company. I would try either approach.

I agree with fireyone. You can contact the company or visit their store, and inquire into the details. However, try to remember, if you owe money to this company.

Is it possible that you set up automatic minimum payments on any account? Also, did they sign you up for some scammy credit protection?

I have found two or three charges or debits on my bank statement from wfnnb and I never heard of them.
What do I do

usually your bank will have the information on the companies debiting your account, it will often appear on my statement that way. Have you tried contacting your bank directly and asking them for the contact information?

Hope you find what you need and get it resolved.

Wfnnb is supervised by the office of thrift supervision. you can complain to them. but start with a call to your bank. why can't they tell you what these charges are for?

Thank all, you were very helpful. Here's what I found out so that others can ponder their own debts from their accounts. My bank said that both times, I wrote a check and the "Company Store" uses WFNNB to handle payments via a direct electronic debt system. No little picture of a check shows up beside the debit to clue you that YOU wrote a check. So know, I know. Thought it was a scam or something at first. Just my own check going through a world bank electronically.

I have an acccount with different companies that do this. Sorry I never thought of that as being the reason. It does make perfect sense. Glad it was not anything that was going to be a long term headache in sorting out! Thanks for stopping in and updating us. If you need anymore assistance feel free to book ark us and stop back in.
