CA Accepted PFD agreement? Whats NEXT

i've gotten a CA to agree to remove a listing from all 3 credit reports )IN WRITING). Yea! I was advised in writing that this it will take 60 days for this to be reflected on my credit report.

Question: Who do I need to pay? I contacted the original creditor and they agreed that my account will be removed from collecctions? So, I need to pay the original creiditor RIGHT?

I'm guessing that since the collection account will be removed, the original creditors account will still be shown as unpaid or amount due? The account is for $146 Charter Cable bill so, the original creditor will need to be paid RIGHT?

Question: If the original creidtor is paid, other than a receipt is there anything else that i would need from them? Do I need something in writing stating that all 3 reports will be updated?

Thanks for your assistance and forthcoming respose.

Hi Ericks,

Can you tell me if it is the creditor or the collection agency (CA) who promised to remove the listings? If it is the collection agency who agreed to the PFD, and if the original creditor (OC) has promised to pull back the same account, you need not send a PFD letter to the CA. After the OC pulls back the account from CA, you need to deal with the OC and not the CA.

If the OC agrees to PFD agreement, then other than the pay receipt, you need to get a PFD agreement letter before you start paying.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Aaron

There is some confusion here. you refer to a CA and an OC interchangeably. You need to deal with the entity that owns the debt. You need this agreement in writing on letter head.

Sometimes an account is listed twice both by the original creditor usually referred to as the OC and by a Collection Agency usually called CA.

So I hope we can help.

Okay Cinnamngrl,

Collection agency NCO finaincial Systems advised that my account has been charged off as delinquent, and however, this does not mean I have a zero balance.

NCO Financial Systems has contacted credit bureaus to delet NCO Financial Systems lisitings of my account with NCO financial.

the letter also stated that NCO financial systems can not change how other companies may have listed the above account on my credit profile.

Question
1. This is an old doctor bill for $203.00 do I need to contact the doctors office directly and make a payment? or do I need to send a letter? if so what kind of letter PFD?
2. Should I ask for an settlement payment or pay in full? will paying in full increase my credit score?
3.Do I need get something in writing first before making a payment to the original creditors/doctors office

Since this collection agency is removing their listing, I realize I have to pay someone. Just not sure what needs to be done to increase my score.

Thanks so much for everyone's assistance

Are you planning to pay this twice? NCO is right, they can't change how the oc lists this account. So it can't be listed by more than one CA, it should be NCO and the CA. your agreement is to pay nco.

get PFD finished. send the payment and get the delete letter. This letter should have the original account number and maybe even the name of the original biller. I would ask for this to prevent sleazy CAs from trying to reopen this.

Then dispute OC doctor bill. if the CRAs verify, send a 623 to the Dr.s office. hopefully, they won't have any records. it would be illegal for them to accept further payment on a debt they sold so don't offer pfd. come back to credit magic after you send the 623. if the oc doesn't delete you can try complaining to the state medical board and/or mov. this should take a couple weeks.
