I owd MBNA credit card company for some time and they sold my credit to Calvalry Portfolio Services LLC my MBNA was in CA and Calvalry is in NV. Calvalry put a judgement on my accout and levy on my checking and savings account. They took all my money, I did not get any notice of this. I have relocated to another state and it has been the pass two years. Any suggestions, please help

Hi Scoremt,

The collection agency(CA) can garnish your bank accounts without any prior notice. They are not under any legal obligation to serve you any notice. The law considers the judgment as the notice. There is no need to officially serve you with the judgment notice.

What you can do is stop using the bank accounts. Remove your name from the account, and request somebody else to open a new account.

Other than this, you can contact the CA and tell them that you would like to pay off the debt. Paying off the dues is the best way to stop garnishment.
