How do I prove to the 3rd collection company that has this debt that this is not mine. The original debt was with Speigel. Because I have never had an account with Speigel, Speigel cannot find me in their system. The creditor, now Trak America, can look me up by social security number even though this is not mine. How do I prove to them that isn't mine and get it removed from my credit?

Hi cchiovatero,

Welcome to this community :)

As you have a judgment against this account, you can visit the court from where the judgment was issued. From there you will get every details of the debt. Who the original creditor was, the debt amount. If you think that this debt is not your's you can then file a motion to vacate the judgment. You will get a form to file the motion. Fill that form, and mention clearly the reason as to why you want to vacate the judgment.

Thanks,

Aaron
