Debt Validation Follow-up

It took the debt collector four months to send a reply to my debt validation letter (This is a law firm that Frederick Hanna hired in my state). What they sent me was nothing but computer generated statements. Should I send them a follow-up letter stating they didn't properly validate what I asked for.
Thanks

Hello and welcome, Did you send these letters by certified mail? If so and they only sent you computerized statements I would wait and see where they go from here. What they sent you was not proper debt validation and if they were to take it to court and you have this information showing you asked for vaidation and only got improper validation then it would be thrown out. You also have to be careful of Fredrick and Hannah. I hear all kinds of negative info on them. How old is this debt and what is your state? I am wondering if they SOL would apply.

Fireyone,

I did send the request validation via certified mail. I'm in Alabama. This debt is 2 year old..so the SOL is still in play.

Hi Scross,

When you ask for debt validation, you should receive a copy of the original contract between you and the creditor, statements of your outstanding balance and a proof that the CA is entitled to collect the debt on behalf of the creditor. Think of making payments only after you have received all these necessary documents. Yes, always send the letters through certified mail.
