At one point in my life i could not afford to pay child support. For the past year i have been paying my child support on time. Today i called to check the balance of my account and it was overdrawn by $18,000. I naturally thought it was a mistake and after calling a serious of long distance numbers i found that the money was removed by child support. How can they take money that i dont have? I only had $275 in the bank. What can i do it doesnt seem right?

That is unbelieveable that a bank would let anyone debit an account for that much when the money is not in there, in fact it is down right ridiculous no matter what the money is for.

Did you speak to anyone at the bank? They should be able to do something about it, like reverse the charges, I would not think that this is legal to over draw an account this much involuntarily or voluntarily. They could have justifiably taken the $275 that you have in there, but then to take that amount, that just blows my mind.
