I had a chrge off with BofA, and recently tried to take care of this. I was reffered to Hudson and Keyse, a collection agency. I attempted to contact them to resolve this matter. Long story short, Hudson and Keyse filed for bankruptcy and no longer exsits. I even read a news article on it. I called BofA and explained but they were of no help. I have written the credit b's and have not heard anything back yet. I cant validate the debt cause the collection agency no longer exsits, and BofA said they cant do anything because they "Sold" the account. I need to get this off of my report. It will be 7 years in November of 2011. Help Please

You need to send the DV letter by CMRRR regardless. Then you file a complaint with the Office of Comptroller of the Currency. IF this debt is 6 years old then the statute of limitations may be expired depending on what state you ae from. Send BofA a 623 letter
