How to get a record deleted

Hi guys, I'm new here, so please bear with me.

I had a Discount Tire credit card, that I was promptly making payments on, until I moved out of state. Or more accurately, I've got it for a couple months (I changed my address with them online, and had the post office forward my mail) then the statements stopped arriving. In the busy-ness of getting settled, I forgot about it. Until one day I received a call from them, and they asked for payment, and why was I late. I apologized and told them my situation, and I said I didn't understand why the statements stopped coming, and she told me an address I was no longer at. Well, I paid the debt in FULL during that call, AND I closed the account. 3 mos later, I get a call from them again, and asking for a payment, and I told the person what happened - After a hold, she said, oh yes, I see it now, sorry. This same thing happened AGAIN a week after this, rinse, repeat.

However, in checking my credit report, I see that they have me listed as 120+ days late on my payment 2 times. I'm trying to validate with them, and they keep on sending me past statements, in which it clearly shows my old address, and statements for 3 mos AFTER I've already paid it off, and it doesn't reflect the payment I made in full.

Sorry so long, what strategy should I use here?

the discount tire CC is actually run by GE Money bank. I would file a complaint with the Office of Thrift Supervision.
