See, if you don't agree with a negative listing appearing in your credit report, you may always get it disputed. It may have been passed on to Palisades from your creditor, so you need to know the source of this debt.
There are certain collection agencies who buy junk debts (even though some of these debts are beyond SOL). These collection agencies will try calling the debtors and collect as much as they possibly can.

very true!! A CA will try anything to get their money. I would look on your Credit Report to see what the SOL is. If the 'fall off' date happens to be soon, I wouldn't do anything with the account.
