I just graduated from law school and unable to find employment. I literally have 600 cash in my name and about 180k in student loan debt. I will have to borrow money from my parents to pay off the settlement. What are the chances that a lawsuit will be filed against me and how should I go about the negotiation? I really would appreciate specific advice about how wells fargo will approach my situation. I have had these lines of credit for more than five years and was never past due on any payments. I had no intention of running up the debt but fell on hard times and had no choice.

You haven’t mentioned the name of your state. At first, you should check the SOL period in your state. If it has expired, then the lender can’t take any legal action against you.
