hi, need some help... My girlfriend crashed my car, hit a motorcyclist. He was injured, not bad, but the motorcycle was totaled and he was taken taken to the hospital just as a precaution. I didnt have any auto insurance at the time and either did she. my question is: If he sues me (because im the registered owner) and the judgement is for him, can I file bankruptcy? I have a steady job, but I know I wouldnt be able to pay. I can barely stay afloat as it is!

No you can’t file bankruptcy after getting a judgment against you. You may make a written request to the court with a claim of exemption.
