I obtained a loan on a vehicle for an X-friend who agreed to pay off loan then I would sign over title and re-license in his name. Also to repay me half the down payment made at time of purchase when title is transferred.
The person has moved with no forwarding address and continues to drive the car. How do I proceed to render the car unusable, and my name removed from all responsibility?

It’s very difficult to remove your name from all responsibility. It would be better for you to consult with an attorney in this regard. I hope he/she will guide you to solve your problem in a better way.
