I am cleaning up our credit issues. In doing so I have disputed to all three bureau's (transUnion, Experian,Equafax) the removal of a lein with our local municipal court . Two of the three (TransUnion, Equafax) have deleted it from my credit report, but the remaining one just shows that it is paid. The judgement was paid in full prior going to court between my lawyer and the creditor's lawyer. Why did Experian not remove it and the other two did?? It was filed in 2005 and paid the same month. Should I again dispute it with Experian for the reason that it is paid and will be 7 years next month? Please advise.

Usually negative items remain on your credit report for 7 years from the date of your first default. If that time period has expired and the item is still showing on your credit report, then immediately dispute it with the credit bureaus. I hope they will take necessary action.
