I am from Tampa, Florida and am relocating to Boston, Massachusetts for work. This is the first-time ever that I'll have to rent out an apartment. Now, will my prospecting landlord and my employer ask for my credit report? Is it necessary at all?
I am fresh out of grad school and don't have a pretty credit at the moment.
Do landlords or employers study credit reports?
Yes...you'll need to show the credit report to your landlord as he/she will judge your credit history & other factors before renting the property to you.
On the other hand, the employer will check your credit reports to verify how responsible you are and to check whether you are financially stable or not. If they find that your credit summery isn't top notch, you might not be eligible for the job.
