Here is my situation. I have 3 charged off accounts. With my wife starting her new job soon, we were sitting down trying to figure out how to get our debt paid off when we hit with a lawsuit from one of the creditors of a charged off account. SO we decided to contact the other two creditors to look at payment options before they ended up in court.
One of the charged off account, we decided to pay in full with our tax refund. That is what we told them. we haven't payed anything yet though.
Is it too late to send them a pay for deletion letter? Do I have a foot to stand on since I already told them that I will pay the debt?
If I pay the debt, do I have a chance of getting the charge off removed?
Wish I would have thought about this sooner.
