Richard,
If a creditor has charged off an account and reported to the credit bureau and subsequently sold the debt to a CA. What is the statute of limitations for a creditor to collect in TX. Is disputing the information provided by CA to the bureau likely to have that entry removed?

Hi txmexjo

The SOL in Texas is 4 years. If you don't agree to a debt you could dispute it. The bureaus will then ask the creditor or the CA to validate the debt and if it they can't validate it the debt will be removed.
