I was trying to cosign for my brother for a new car. I had a 813 score and went down 692 . We never got the loan. Can I ask for a dispute for that inquiry to be removed? If not how long would this affect my credit?

Hi jpjose32

Hard inquiries like these remain on your report for about 2 years and it would be difficult to prove that an inquiry was inaccurate. According to the FTCP only those who have any legitimate business needs can have a look at your report. I don't think there is anything you can do about it. Hard inquiries do affect your credit score.
