I own my house and land .Im also 40,000 in debt with 3 cars and credit cards,
This year ive been layed off for 6 months and cant keep up.
Can they force a sale on my property to pay up on bills??
I filed back in 2007 and they didn't make me. I believe I signed a homestead deed to protect the stuff I was going to keep.Now with the cars I'm not sure how that works because I only had one. But I had a friend that had hired an attorney because she was planning to file but changed her mind. I believe he told her you could only have one each. Your best bet would be to talk to an attorney and find out what he has to say.
