i had chase gold mastercard i payed it off and close the account.
how do i get it off my credit report

If it in good standing why would you want to? And that would be closing part of your credit history. How long has it been listed? Is it in good standing? We are probably going to need more information in order to help. Because I don't believe you can just remove something from your credit report unless enough time has past and then it should just fall off. Now if it's negative the creditor that put it there is the only one I know that can remove it.

in assuming that it is reporting negatively, there are a couple techniques

1. dispute
2. write to chase for records
3. complain to occ

this may work.

hello and welcome. I would think if it were good I would leave it on there but if it is in fact a negative listing you should have asked for a pay for delte and got it in writing. This would have assured you that it would be removed once you paid off the account. I would now go ahead and dispute it. Most of the time once they get their money they do not mess with dealing with the account. If they do not respond to the dispute then it can be removed. Good luck.

Hi Mikey,

If anything regarding the account is reflecting any negative details then only you need to remove it from your credit report. So it depends what your report is showing. First get hold of a copy of your report and check the details. Then you may decide whether or not to remove it.

However if you need to remove the listing then you can either ask for a "pay for delete" from the creditor, else you can send a dispute letter to the credit bureaus. For any help regarding writing the letter you can refer to credit magic forum.
