i have been served in wyoming from texas on a van that i voluntarily gave back, they are suing me for 5900 dollars
i am on social sec only can they attach my social sec benefits.
also have credit card debts i can not pay and they keep calling cant pay them either.
can you give me some advice

I am assuming that the van you gave back was sold by whom ever extended the credit to you. Usually this is done at an auction. When the vehicle is sold if they do not recieve the amount you owed then you would be responsible for the remaining amount. I do not believe they can attach your social security for this. The only thing that can attach your social security is taxes and child support. Your creditor can take you to court and get a judgment but they would not be able to attach the Social security to get their money.
