I have done this a few times. But my question is if you have filed bankruptcy on a creditor and they are reporting wrong to the credit agencies and I dispute it can the creditor delete the listing altogether?

I know I wasn't I always thought if you filed bankruptcy the creditors that you filed on stayed to show what you had filed on. So I was shocked when they deleted it all together.

Subject: EMPLOYER BACKGROUND CHECK

Posted on Wed Oct 27, 2010 8:03 pm

My background check came back with discrepancies on it in regards to deliquent accounts. Its a catch 22 as I fell victim to the economy and haven't had a steady job in 2 years there causing my credit to be effected by non payment. I am currently trying to obtain a job with in a financial field as this is my career path. I need to send a letter to review my background check to dispute and explain my credit history and how I am going about fixing this. I am at a lost for words aka writers block. HELP!

Subject: tradeline info

i had a dispute with bank b regarding fees on a credit card tha twere assessed for a dsputed charge. I won the dispute with the vendor, but the fees were still on m yaccount when bank A wa sold to another bank, Bank B.

Bank B then boosted the rate on the card to 30% based on the "nonpayment" of the fees, whcih resulted in a penalty that put my account "over the limit".

I had no recourse here. I paid the total balance due on the account, less the disputed fees. Thebank "wrote off" the disputed fees and reported the disputed fees as "bad debt" , that the account was "sttled for less than full payment" which ws just a total lie.

It's on my credit report as "paid in settlement" , and i want this to be fixed as "paid in full". Bank B never looked into the original dispute.

How on earth do i get this thing fixed from a "paid in settlement" to a "paid in full", while also getting the "delinquencies" off the report. It was dlnqnt ONLY because I wodl not pay the disputed fees.

suggestions?
