FTC Dispute Referral Program

http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2004/04/cra.htm

If you have a dispute with a credit reporting agency that is just not working out you can take it to the next level and get the Federal Trade Commission to assist. Sometimes disputes go through faster and see results where other directions might have failed.

Look up for utility commission sites for each state.

http://www.publicutilityhome.com/state.shtml

If you have billing, even reporting disputes, ID Theft problems any thing of the sort, and your disputes are not being processed with the respective utility company then this is where you take your disputes / complaints.

National Credit Union Association NCUA

http://www.ncua.gov/

Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation FDIC

http://www.fdic.gov/

If you have a dispute with a bank or credit union and it is not working out you can contact the FDIC or NCUA for assistance.

Fair Credit Reporting Act

http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fcrajump.shtm

Fair Debt Collection Practices Act

http://www.ftc.gov/os/statutes/fdcpajump.shtm

It is important if you are dealing with credit reporting issues or collection agencies issues to know your rights and these two links will take you to the opening page for the FCRA or the FDCPA this link also includes staff opinion letters.

Annual Credit Reports

https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp

Consumers are entitled to one free credit report per year, and this is the national site for accessing all 3 reports from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion at once.

Innovis

https://www.innovis.com/InnovisWeb/index.html

There is another credit reporting agency consumers need to be aware of, creditors may be accessing reports this direction and you should obtain reports here to make sure all information is accurate.

Chex Systems

https://www.consumerdebit.com/consumerinfo/us/en/index.htm

This is one of the many of the check reporting agencies, if you have problems with your bank accounts you should obtain a credit report from this company. Or ask your bank for contact if they use a different check company.

A Consumer Guide to Handling Disputes with Your Employer or Private Health Plan, 2005 Update

http://www.consumersunion.org/health/hmo-review/

This is an old link but I think it is worth checking out to see if you can get assistance when disputing medical debt.
