MCYDSNB on my credit report - Who are they?

Subject: MCYDSNB on my credit report - Who are they?

MCYDSNB is on by credit report with an open date of 8/04 and I have no recollection of this account - do they represent Macy's or Filene's?

Annemchale,

Macys & all other Federated store credit cards are handled by MCYDSNB. Must be because you have an account with Macy's or one of the other affiliated stores it is appearing on your report.

I just checked my credit report and found a company named MCYDSNB, after reviewing the FAQ's on this website I found out that this is a collections agency that works with Macy's. Now, I tried to call Macys collections department and no one know anything about MCYDSNB, and since my account was closed in 1998 they don't have any records. I tried to call experian where I got my credit report from and is an automatic service, which doesn't help at all. Pleaseeeeeeee, can somebody help me. Thank you!!!

Maria, when was the last date of activity on your account? Unless you've made a payment sometime since April, 2000, then this should not be on your credit report. If that is the case, then dispute with the credit reporting agencies.

I do not know what company this is,but it shows on my credit report as open/never late. Please let me know how to cancel this item out.

Hi Evelyn,

Do you have the card for Macy's or any of the federated store cards? In that case this is the reason why it is showing on your report. If you do not have any such account please dispute the item with the credit bureaus.

Can anyone help? I have two of these on my credit report, don't remember getting the credit cards and can't get through the automated phone number for Macy's. How can I close them? one is from 2004 and the other is from 1999.

Dispute it with the credit bureau.

Did you have any card with the affiliates of Macy's? That might have been the cause.

This is a forum for discussion on credit repair and related issues. You have to contact the concerned company to cancel the card.

Macys departmental store national bank is showing up and you don't know why cause you never applied for a macys card. You probably worked for robinsons may or any other may co. And macys automaticlly transferd the account. Even the pre-pay employees cards became credit lines when macys took over. So keep the account or cancel it with macys

I just checked my credit report and I had the same thing on mine. I just called my nearest Macy's store and they took care of it for me. You might want to try that!!

mcydsnb stands for Macys departmental store national bank. Macys has bought out other department store that may now be reporting under the name of macys. Dispute the account with credit bureau.If the account is in good standings you probably need to do research to find out if one of your accounts was indeed purchaesd by macys. You can always ask for debt validation also.

On my credit report I find MCYDSNB opened 8/1/02. It is an open account and I don't know who ordered it. I would like to call and cancel it before someone tries to steal my identity like they tried on my deceased husband.
