Subject: What company is MCYDSNB?

| The abbrevation is "mcydsnb" on my credit report but I don't know who the account is with. How can I determine the company and contact them to close the account? |

Do you have a Macy's charge card?
Also, look for a Visa or MasterCard with the
same or similar account information on
your CR.
1. If the Account(s) are not yours, by all means,
Dispute with the CBs.
2. If you wish to close the account(s) contact "MCYDSNB"
directly. Their contact information; Name and Address (at
a minimum) should be be listed on your CR (most of the
time a telephone number is included). |

| If you ever had a Daytons or Marshall Fields card - Macy's bought them out last year, so it could be that too. |

Hi Angelica,
MCYDSNB takes care of the accounts of Macy's and Federated Store credit cards. Do you have account with any of these stores? What else does the credit report say?

| Thank You!!!!! to those on this forum regarding this matter. MCYDSNB is Macy's and stands for Macy's Department Stores National Bank. They were showing 4 open accounts on my credit report in addition to the visa Dept Store account I have. Be aware they give the Visa account a totally different number than the others. I called Experian and my local credit agencies to no avail or resolution to identify this company. This forum helped me get this matter resolved. The 1-800-458-6229 worked. If you have a macy's card, you most likely have these additional open accounts with different account numbers. |

I just checked my credit history and saw this MCYDSNB on it and didn't know what company it was for either. So I googled it and found you guys!!! All your comments helped and I dailed the 800# posted. I have now closed the mysterious account (Macy's Credit Card).

| ..and another thank you for sharing the phone number. After reviewing my credit report, I surprisingly found 3 of these accounts opened. After starting a letter of resolution, I began my search for an address to submit my letter(s). I found this post, made the call, and was able to have all 3 accounts closed in less than 2 minutes !!!! Now that was easy- They will even send you a letter stating the account was closed and forward this information to your credit report companies. THANKS FOR SHARING !!! |
