Negative entry removed

Hello All,

Thanks to all who helped me to remove negative tradeline from all three CRAs. I pulled all three reports couple of days ago and verified negative entry is gone, however on Tansunion(only) I see the same account with different $$ and date as 'Closed' status and instead of showing Closed as 'Agreed' it is showing Closed as 'Unrated'. Not sure what 'Unrated' means. ... it is being reported by same OC.

Please advice do I need to worry about this Closed Unrated account ? Also how long a closed account can stay on credit report?
This account shows was opened in 1992 closed in 2006. But in actual this account was closed in 1994.

Hi fantoos,

it's great that you were successful in removing the item from your credit reports.

Unrated can probably mean that the item is still in dispute, and thus is not being considered either positive or negative. It will not be considered while your score will be calculated.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Aaron

Hi fantoos,

You are welcome :)

Yes, you can dispute this wrong listing (the dates) with the credit bureaus. If possible keep copies of the account closed in 1994 as proof. You can attach these copies along with the dispute letter.

Thanks,

Aaron
