Can I get these removed NOW?

Okay, here's the deal: I have two charge-offs on my Equifax report. The trade lines are as follows:

Date of last payment is blank
Date of last activity says 'N/A'
Date of first Delinquency is 7/2001

My question then is, according to the reporting rules, Shouldn't this be coming off of my credit report in July of 2008? Also, is there a way to get this removed earlier?

You can always dispute each account and see what happens.I would dispute them, especially with date of last activity stating N/A, by saying that this account is outdated and that the statue of limitation is up. It's worth the effort. Accounts are deleted from your credit file 7years from date of last activity. If date of last activity is the same as first delinquency date then this account would come off in june or july. Dispute first to see what they say.GOOD LUCK!!!

You have nothing to lose, file the disputes and see what will happen.

Disputing is the best way to find out. As 7 years is the time frame the item must drop off anytime between July 2008 to January 2009. You can dispute and see what happens.

7 years from date of charge off, not date of last activity, so this will probably fall off in January...like the others said, try disputing, it may work.

Disputing should work. CRAs are generally known for deleting 3-6 months PRIOR to the 7 year mark.

When you dispute them, dispute as OBSOLETE.
