Old debt that I am not sure

I have been issued a civil summons from LVNV funding about an old debt that I am not sure I owe. What should I do in response to this?

At first give a reply to the court summons. Send LVNV a debt validation request letter in writing via certified mail with a return receipt request. If they don’t validate the debt, then give the court the copy of the debt validation request letter as a proof. You should present on the court hearing date.
