Unlicensed in my state-Texas

I have several pdls that are from lenders that are unlicensed in my state-Texas. They have been turned over to debt collectors. I understand you own the amount you borrowed from these companies but how do you deal with the collection agencies that are requesting more?

Welcome to the forums!!!
As your lenders are not licensed in your state, so you are bound to pay them only the principal. Don’t pay them any interest or fees. It would be better for you to close down your old bank account and open a new one. Don’t rely on their words and don’t pay them an extra dime other than the principal.
