I have several hospital bills on my credit report from using the ER I had insurance at the time of using the ER but never received a bill and when I pulled my credit report I found 6 separate reports on my credit report that range from $50.00 to $300.00 placed on there by MAF Collection Servic. I did call them and they stated some were Hospital bill and I could get a 50% discount on each that is a direct hospital but there is 2 that are are Doctors bills and they do not do any discounts at all. What should I do?

blhk, you say you had insurance at the time these bills were made. Did your insurance cover the medical treatments and Doctors 100%? Some plans only cover a certain percentage. If your plan did pay all costs I would contact the hospitol and doctors explaining that the coverage was there. If you need maybe you could get a letter from your insurance company stating your coverage at that time. I went through this myself just recently and took the letter straight to the Doctors office. It was a problem in their billing so they deleted the bill since it was too late to have insurance cover it. What we may need is a better report of your coverage and such to tell you what you can do.
