Negative listing in credit report: How to remove it

Hello all. I thought it would be a good idea to enclose a clip of my credit report of some Items I would like removed. They don't show bad anymore but they show a potentially negative.

Does these two effect my score, and can I get them removed with a letter to the Credit Bureaus?

I hope this works.

Hi Sorie
What I find from your credit report is that you have two charge off accounts in your credit report which you have already paid and so they are closed. One has been charged off in 2002 and the other in 2004. Since you have paid these charge off accounts after it has been sold to the collection agency, it will stay in your credit report for seven years from the date of your last missed payment and cannot be removed.

Charge off listings stay in your credit report for seven years and affect your credit score. Only the original creditor can remove the charge off listing because it the OC who has charged it off. But since the debt has been sold to the collection agencies and you have made the payment to the CAs, it will stay in your credit report. If you had not paid off the charged off account, then the creditor could have brought judgment against you which would have greatly hampered your credit score.

Great, since they are for the same OC they should be gone in a few months. if the last missed payment was for the OC. Good news.

Thank you.
