I don't know that it is even a reportable item is it???? You will have to wait on someone who has a little more knowledge to come along and help you out on this one. sorry

HI Sara,

Yes, delinquent child support account is very much reportable. This affects one’s credit rating negatively. Not paying the child support money can cause you to be reported to the credit reporting agencies. You will need to settle the account before you can become eligible for any kind of loans. If you are being taken to court due to missed child account payments, then this will stay on your credit report for 7 years.
