how do i remove a charge off the original creditor marked it as charge off sold

Hi Panther
If the debt has been charged off by the OC and has been sold off to the collection agency you cannot remove the charge off listing from your report and it will stay in your report for seven years and six months from the date of your delinquency towards the debt. However, if the debt has been charged off by the collection agency, you can get it removed if you can make the creditor agree to pay for deletion agreement in writing before you pay off the debt.

Yes, it is true that you cannot remove the name of the OC from your report once the OC sells off the debt to the collection agency. This is because, the original creditor sells of the debt and gets money in return and so he loses all incentive to remove it from the report. However, if the debt is still with the CA, they agree to PFD on the hope that if they agree to it, they will get back their money.
Now, since the debt is sold off to the collection agency, you should ask the collection agency for debt validation first before you come to any repayment agreement with them.
