Should I bother demanding verification on old CA TLs?

I have 2 open CA tradelines from 2005 for $70 and $125. Should I bother demanding validation? The CAs are Palisades and Omni, respectively. I think they show up on all 3 CRAs.

How much should I offer them if I send them a PFD letter?

Also, I have a 90-day delinquent utility bill from 2005. I paid it a long time ago. Is there any way I can pay the utility company to delete it?

Yes, you can send debt validation letters to both the collection agencies by certified mail asking them to validate your debt. If they can properly validate your debt, you can come to a pay for deletion agreement and pay it off, else you can send a dispute letter to the credit bureaus and get the listing removed. You can find sample debt validation and dispute letters if you visit the link letters of credit.

Yes, Carol is right. Now, if you have both the original creditor and the collection agency listing in your account, and you come to a pay for deletion agreement with the collection agency, then after you pay off the debt, only the CA listing will be removed and not the OC listing. The Original creditor listing will stay there in your report for seven years.
You can contact your creditor to make the delinquent account current after paying some late fees.

You can't, the credit card cnmpaoy determines which part of the debt gets paid off first, and guess what, they always choose the low interest portion.
