satisfied judgements with no proof. Where do I go from here?

can anyone tell me how I can obtain proof that my judgement has been satisfied? I have misplaced the money order receipt when I moved. I need to know if there is any particular place I can go that will have that proof. Thanks for your help in this serious situation. My credit score is greatly affected by this. :(

Hi da1

There is a satisfaction of judgment form that can be a strong proof of having satisfied a judgment. These forms can be bought from the court or are also available at stationary or other stores selling legal documents.

You may collect a satisfaction form and take it to the courthouse and ask for a hearing for a satisfaction of judgment.

Carol. If the poster does not have the proof how can they prove they paid in order to show satisfaction of the judgement? I have seen a couple posts in the past where the person has paid the judgement and they still continue to attach wages and paychecks. hat happens to all that over paid money? Can they get it back by filing the satisfaction of judgement paper?
