I had a 50 dollar parking ticket that was sent to collections. I paid off the collections but now I have the collection on my report. Is there any way I can attempt to get this removed from my report?

You might be having receipt for this payment.either fax it or scan & mail it to the collection agency and ask them to remove the entry on your report.this is so simple to do it.

Hi Mwarwick,

Welcome to this community.

You can do what ensurepune has said. However, the chances are high that the collection agency may not agree to remove the negative item form your credit report. You were supposed to request the collection agency (CA) to agree to "Pay for delete" (PFD) before making the payments. Still, you can try.

Actually, the negative listings are supposed to stay there on your credit report for seven years. If the CA does not agree to PFD, you can send goodwill letter to them.

Thanks,

Aaron
