Reopen Charged Off Credit Card Acct?

Is it possible to reopen a charged off credit card acct with the original creditor, even though the debt has been sold off?

If it was reopened would it still have derogotory marks in the credit report?

Hi Franko

It won't be possible to reopen the charged off credit card because 'who will be paying the collection agency if the loan is taken back from them?'

Again this whole money will be recovered from customer only.So I don' think this is a profitable/viable solution for the bank in long run and they will not even consider this preposition.

Hi Franko,

No a sold off account cannot be pulled back by the creditor. The charge-off too cannot be removed by the collection agency because this was entered by the creditor.
