I am being sued by the Home Owners Association of a rental property I owned and now on the market for short sale. I was issued a Summons and have 20 days to respond. I do not know where to begin. Can someone help/ please.
Thank you.

Hi america,

Welcome to this community :)

To answer to the summons you will have to first read the summons and complaints form minutely. You can then agree or deny to the charges brought against you.

For answering to the summons you can get help from the court clerk or an attorney. You can visit the court and request the court clerk to help you in answering to the summons.

Thanks,

Aaron

The court house is a really good place to get help with this matter. People there understand the laws and how to complete these forms. most will guide you in the right direction that is best for you. they also can answer any questions you have. be sure to answer the summons in the time said. Not doing so can leads to even bigger financial problems. Good luck

Yes, another guest here even came back to say that she got the required help to answer to the summons from the court clerk :)
