I have a store credit card on my credit report from 2001 that is listed as a satisfactory account. It says paying as agreed or paid. I called a few years ago about it as I tried to use it to see if it was active and found out it was inactive because of inactivity, and they told me I would have to reapply again. My credit is not that good and I would like to reopen this account, would i have to reapply or do you think they would reopen it, or because I had a good account they would look favorable if i applied again.

Hi madmac,

Welcome to this community :)

Generally creditors agree to reopen closed accounts. I think you can try for a second time. Talk to them about the card and request them to reopen this card account. If this does not work out, you may have to apply again.

Thanks,

Aaron
