Hello, I am a victim of identity theft. I've done everything possible to clean my credit report because they used my credit as soon as I took a student loan on 2001. I didn't know until 4 years ago that an application was denied. My question is is there any other way to clean my credit than calling each company in my report? I've call them already some are closing but some just dont do anything, I faxed documents, proves and all that but nothing. I am getting desperate right now because i cant do anything!! Please Help!

Hi rodriguez.santiago.m,

Welcome to this community :)

As far as I understand you are talking about hard inquiries. If it is so, did you apply with more than one company? Authorized hard inquiries are there to stay on your credit report for 2 years after which they are supposed to fall off your credit report. If it does not, as it is in your case, send dispute letters to the credit bureaus through certified mail, requesting a return receipt.

Feel free to refer to the sample dispute letter at http://www.creditmagic.org/repair/dispute-letter.html .

Thanks,

Aaron
