I have currently being served with a summons from "chase" my bank account is not related with the bank I currently have my money in. I have replied back to the courts in regards to the summons. At this point I know that I will have to prepare for the court date. What I want to know is if the courts can garnish my account prior to going to court and hearing a judgement? Should I take my savings out of the bank?

Yes, take your savings out. As far as I know, a garnishment could happen after your court date and they can take money from you (anywhere they find it). Consult an attorney (some of them will give you an hour free and you would know your options).
