I was served with a judgement went to court...i'm afraid when i get my income tax return can my bank keep it ? Or can the collection agency do something where I can not cash it or receive it? I'm in Texas Any info is helpful...thanks

SSI benefits, federal funds are not allowed to be included in the judgments. The collectors don’t have the legal rights to touch anything outside the judgment order. If I were in your place, I would not have trusted on their activities and would suggest you to if possible, shift this money to another account to which the collection agency has no access.

I don't think removing you name will stop it. A friend of mine has a husband, didn't file returns, and they came after her too. The only time they came after our taxes, was for a medical bill..KAren

Being arguably the most controversial woman in rock history isn’t easy. While best known as the widow of John Lennon — and, to many, the reason for The Beatles’ breakup — Yoko Ono has always been, first and foremost, an artist. With her career now entering its sixth decade, her work sounds just as relevant now as it did in the ’60s and ’70s.

If you have something that's related to the government, like a student loan in default, they can "offset" your refund. It's happened to me before, and it happened to a couple of friends of mine over the years.
