Hello all,
My current score is 551, I'd like to get it to 620-640 as fast as possible. Most likely in about 3 months.
1. I have a judgement showing on there that is paid but not showing as paid, do I get that changed or removed?

2. I have a tax lien that I can get removed via a tax pro, will that help?

3. I have an old credit card account, 2008, showing current but also show charged off. Will paying the one that is current help and how to remove the charge off collection?

4. I was told by a mortgage broker that paying any medical bills hurts your score, how true is that?

5. I also have a seriously old debt that keeps circulating on my report, how can I get that off once and for all. It's most likely originally 15 yrs old.

1. Usually negative items remain on your credit report for 7 years from the date of your first default. Contact with the credit bureaus and tell them about this matter.

2. It would be better for you to consult with a financial counselor in this regard.

3. It’s very difficult to remove the charge-off account from your credit report as negative items remain on your credit report for 7 years from the date of your first default. You should try to pay-off your outstanding debts and request the collection agency to update your account status properly.

4. It’s not true. If you pay-off your outstanding medical bills, then your credit score will improve gradually with time.

5. You should pay-off all outstanding debts. After 7 years, negative items will automatically be removed from your credit report. If it didn’t happen, then immediately inform this matter to the credit bureaus.
