I was looking at my credit report on line and it turns i have a new account showing up from 2009. I am totaly unaware of this account and I did call collections agency to find out what it is. They say its for a phone bill. I told him i dont no what this is but i will have to find out. About a week later i recieved a letter from them by my mail (The first letter i have ever recieved) In the letter they tell me they are collecting for Tmobile and that i have 30 days to request validation or the collections agency will assume this debt is valid.

So what do i do?

Send a dispute letter?

Ask them to validate the debt in writing via certified mail with a return receipt request. If they don’t give any reply, then forward them a Cease and Desist letter. But if they send you a valid proof, then you will be liable to reply the debts.
