Good Evening:

I am 21 who made very poor financial choices when I was 18 and 19 due to many issues. Not that I have somewhat grown up and tackled more of life I am paying these debts off slowly but surely.

My questions are. I have paid off many of my debts and show up as 'paid;collections' on my credit report, and two of them are the same debt with identical account number, and one shows 'paid' while the other shows 'closed;written off'. Can I remove one or both of these from my report since they are the same account? If so, how do I go about doing that?

Next, I am tackling each account one at a time what can I say or send to the collections agency to barter with them to reduce the amount and remove the listed items from my report? Is there any samples I can utilize?

Furthermore, I had a vehicle repossession a couple years ago and the amount left to pay is quite significant and I have yet to begin paying on this. Any suggestions?

I would appreciate all the help I can get.

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum, maybe I can help you out, I had one of these on my account sometime ago, you can try and file a dispute with the credit reporting agency and try and have it removed that way.
In my situation that is what I did, seems after they got there money they did not care to respond to the dispute and since they didn't it was removed, worth a shot anyway. You can file the dispute right online when you get on your credit report. Let us know how it works out.
