I have 4 payday loans in new jersey im told they are illegal and im only responsible for the principal balance but i look at other forums and they say that this is not true who is telling me the truth here because i just closed my account stopped the ach debits and am on to the next step of contacting them someone please clue mean in on whats next!!!!

Payday lending is prohibited in New Jersey. That means all of your 4 lenders are illegal. You have done the right thing by closing down your bank account and stopped the ach debits. You are required to pay back them only the principal balance, nothing more than that.
