Can anyone tell me if PDLs are legal or illegal in CT? If legal, how do I get out of this mess? If illegal, same question. I currently have loans with Ameriloan, One Click, Hydra Fund, Redstone, Payment Solutions (they repeatedly charge the interest only and do not do pay-downs), Sandpoint, and Sure Advance. I really need to stop the madness.

Payday lending is prohibited in CT. That means all the above mentioned lenders are illegal in your state. You owe them nothing more than the principal balance. Just close down your old bank account and open a new one to stop debiting money from your account. Don’t worry, they can’t do anything.
