I recently had a pay day loan collector threaten me to pay them. Which I did but this pay day loan was over five years ago. I think that I have another one but do not know for sure. I look on my credit report and nothing shows up. Five years ago I went through a bad divorce and lost my job. I really forgot about this pay day loans until I got the phone call last week. How do I find out if I owe any other pay day loan? What are the statues in Louisiana?
Statute of limitation is 10 years for Louisiana. If there is nothing shown on your credit report, then you don’t need to worry. Don’t make any payments without a valid proof.
Statutue of limitations may be 10 years but if it was a legal lender they could potentially sue you. Do not listen to the moron above...being on your credit report is NOT an indication of their legality.
