What do I do when a collection agency keeps calling me on my job? Harrassing me about a debt that I owe from last year? I spoke with the person one time. But the way she talks to me is like I'm going to be arrested if I don't pay them this monies in a couple of days. She has been calling me from the last week and a half. Can anyone help me.

None of the collection agencies can call you at your work place, if you ask them not too. This is as per FDCPA. Furthermore, you cannot get arrested for unpaid debt. Do you owe any such money?

I think they are scammers. Ask the collection agency to validate the debt in writing via certified mail with a return receipt request. If they don’t give any reply, then send them a Cease and Desist letter. Debts are civil case, not a criminal offense. So you can’t get arrested for nonpayment of debts. If required, file a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC.
