I had a loan that was paid, or so I thought. The account that I gave the comapny 2 years ago has been closed and I'm with a new bank. Today I had a 390.00 debit taken from the acct. How this company got that information, I have no idea. Do they have the right to take money from an acct I never gave them? Also, they are refusing to give me proof that I owe them.

who debited your account?i would go to your bank see a manager and fill out a fraud affidavit asap.have the money returned, but again who debited?btw no they don't as no illegal lender has any rights whatsoever so the mnoey was debited illegaly.get to your bank see a manager and have that money returned, and put a fraud alert on your account.

Immediately close down your bank account and open a new one to stop debiting money from your account. File a complaint against them to the SAG or FTC.

Firstly, what do you mean by "I had a loan that was paid, or so I thought" ?? Aren't you sure about whether or not you have repaid the loan? They don't have right to take money from your account and hence you can certainly put a fraud alert on your account.

You need to put a fraud alert on your account immediately and talk to your bank manager about this!
